The year is ending quickly, but the video game hits keep coming.
In September , fighting game fans were introduced to Mortal Kombat 1 , a high-flying reboot of the iconic and comically gory franchise. Likewise, Lies of P (a reimagining of Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio) was an excellent Souls-inspired action RPG, with excellent combat, gorgeous gothic graphics, and a fantastic setting. And CD Projekt Red achieved a spectacular reboot with Phantom Liberty , a superb expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 that improved the original game while enriching the story with a new setting and game mechanics.
There are also many highly anticipated games for console and PC in October. Among them, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (the must-have game of the season for PlayStation 5 ) and Super Mario Bros. Wonder (perhaps one of Nintendo's last notable games before the Switch 2).
